Arriving by plane
From Bologna Airport
Bologna’s Guglielmo Marconi Airport is connected to Bologna Centrale train station via the
Marconi Express.
The shuttle runs every 7–15 minutes between 05:40 and 24:00, and the journey takes only 7 minutes.
From Bologna Centrale, you can reach the Complesso di Santa Cristina (Via del Piombo 5) by bus (lines 27, 19, 20), taxi, or a 20-minute walk.
From Milan and Bergamo Airports
The closest train stations to Milano Malpensa Airport are Milano Cadorna, Milano Centrale, and Milano Porta Garibaldi.
Milano Linate Airport is connected to the city centre by metro (M4) or bus.
From any major station in Milan, high-speed trains reach Bologna in about 1 hour.
If arriving at Bergamo Orio al Serio Airport, buses connect to Milano Centrale (~50 minutes).
From Milano Centrale, numerous trains reach Bologna in ~1 hour.

If you plan to drive, please note that the historic centre of Bologna is a restricted traffic zone (ZTL) monitored by cameras.

Use the Bologna Arcoveggio or Bologna Fiera motorway exits.
Parking solutions near the centre include Parco della Montagnola or Riva di Reno, both located outside the restricted area and within walking distance of Santa Cristina.
